Rare diesel tractor for sale.

It appears to be a diesel from the pictures. I think he just doesn't know much about the tractor (or is pretending not to know) and was just copying and pasting from tractordata and they have a single listing for the 3000, regardless of whether it was a gasser or a diesel, and he was just copying and pasting anything he thought somebody might want to know.

It definitely needs some paint just to stop the rust, and he doesn't even say whether it runs or not. If it does run, the price is still a little high at $4000.00, but if it's not running then it's way too high.
 
I think the price is pretty decent. That's a good tractor (if it runs). Too bad it doesn't have power steering. Another thing that points to diesel is the oil bath air-cleaner behind the grille.

A friend of mine has/had several International tracked tractors with IHC start on gasoline, run on diesel engines. He still has a TD-18A.

For it's day, the IHC system was not a bad system for a diesel engine that would start in cold weather.

Though costly and complicated, it was not much more complicated than competitive pony start engines and probably just as reliable.

that is rare if it is a "naturally aspirated" diesel.
68+ and pretty oil/dirt/mud caked for a diesel. Looks like no maintenance (or cleaning) has been done for quite a long time. I wouldnt trust the injector pump
It has probably never seen a shed, but it does have a new seat!
$4000 is pushing the limits.
