I've got one of the tires off my 960 for repair.
I stuck my spare 12.4 on it.
Sad looking fit to me! LOL

Here it is with its normal 14.9

i'll do ya one better
!

when i was repairing the rims on my 14.9-28, the only matched spares I had were a take off set from a scrap 8n.. thus 11.2-28

I mowed with them that summer. was like a low rider on my 950 !!!!!

Thankfully I won't have to use it this way, just wanted to move it
out of the shop until I get the other one fixed. Won't take long.
11.2 or 12.4, that just ain't right! LOL

The trouble I have with 14.9s is I run out of clearance when
lifting some 3- pt. implements, like a 6ft bushog. Nebraska
tests say tires in 1955 were 12's.

remember, tire naming has changed since the stone age.

10-28 became 11.2-28

13.6's are standard on a 172 equipped machine..

thus the mention of 12's

"Kinda looks like the flying nun."

Sally Field is welcome to come drive any of them she wants! LOL

(quoted from post at 23:25:51 10/02/14) He'd probably never notice after using THAT seat all these years.
You have very good eyes Bern, or you're just ribbing me!
Either way, that Rest-O-Ride seat leans to the right badly.
It needs new springs and bushing.
I still like the old pan seats though, if suspended correctly.
Someday. Someday. Sigh.

ya do what you gotta...
......but you're supposed to hide it behind the barn when you aren't using it....
I've posted about having to put 13.6 turfs on mine when a 14.9 failed and I couldn't/can't find a used one. Might be the definition of silly and useless...unloaded little turfs on a 45 hp tractor..
'looks' bothered me so much that I picked up a set of worn
13.6 Ags and threw them on. still too small, but at least it looks like a tractor again.
maybe I'll pull the fenders so it doesn't look so bad, and throw some 15's on the front and tell everyone I have a low garage door!

I was going to join in on the 'top this'
but I can't find a pic of the AC B I had with no tires.
235-70R-15's on Crager SST uni-fit wheels went on the rear,
8 inch trailer tires on the front. It was pretty fun actually....

Could store tools back there its so big, I almost dished the rims to make it short and excessively wide, but I don't have any vertical walls to mow :)

Got the rim fixed and the tire back on with a new tube.
Now I just need to find a couple minutes to put it back on the tractor.
I didn't take a before picture, but the valve stem hole was about
the size of a half dollar. No chloride going back in these so they
should last a lifetime. Still need to do the other side.

boys i like that "FARD" I don't like the narrow
front end but I like a fat ask...me... I bought a
set of rears for a IH 444 county they came off a
combine but they fit with a half inch to spare on
each side... they work great as long as I keep my
1500# counter box on and keep the chains off
best of MTP...
