Exhaust Manifold on 3600 Gas

Sorry,
I don't know what's up but I'm just not reading these posts carefully enough the last few days.
Anyway, I've never had any trouble removing the manifold bolts on these 3 cylinder engines. I did have one on a vertical 4000 manifold once - they use one long 6" bolt in the middle - that broke off but not in the head. It unscrewed fine once I got the manifold pried away from the head.
You should have no trouble removing them.

Exhaust manifold bolts are generally a lot less problematic than expected. Please not your mileage may vary. A lot.

When I replaced the exhaust manifold on my 3 cylinder 4000, the manifold was rusted clean through on the bottom and the bolt heads were rusted all to heck, so I sprayed them a few times a day with PB Blast for several days before I tried to remove any of the bolts, and when I finally tried they came out so easy I wondered why I bothered with the PB Blast ritual in the first place. The threads on the bolts and in the manifold were clean and rust free. Use all new bolts to put the new manifold on. Don't forget new lock washers too.

Usually they don't give any fight. Usually....
Just use some common sense and a bit of caution. They should come right out.
