A while back someone wanted to know key switch terminal IDs. I looked for my cheat sheet at the time, but couldn't find it. I stumbled across it the other day and thought I would share it.

That must be a later switch that they used as a replacement for the earlier ones. Mine's a gasser and only has "Off", "On" and "Start", so I can't speak from experience, but my original owner's manual for my '73 4000 says that the diesel key switch has "Off" in the middle, and "On" and "Start" to the right, and "Heat" and "Heat Start" to the left.

It is for the diesels 1965 and later with a preheater only and if you replace an original switch.

I am used to seeing terminal 3 with a larger spade on it for the thermostart... Is that only on aftermarket switches??
