5000 inj pump simms

this tractor will not start without pushing the cold start button --it runs out to rpm but has no power --there is a line open at the back of the pump-- does the pump need vacuum ? I could not feel gov respond --I looked in arcives and could not find this discussion --fuel system has been cleaned---need advice-- thanks roger

try pulling out on the cold start button. Sometimes they stick in a little not letting the governor work.

Is this a 5000 or a Major? A Major uses a vacuum governor, whereas the old 5000 we all know and love does not.

At top of side cover around to the left is guide that rack bar slides in. Has small screw holding it on. Below that is overflow port for pump. It is 5/16-18 bolt size. And when was pump oil changed???? Fills on top,level on side by shaft, drain on bottom. Uses same oil as engine. Doest hurt to overfill.
