Hanging the fenders back on and the gas tank is hitting the fender.I think i have the spring in the wrong spot.Right now its between the gas tank and support frame. Is the spring supposed to be on the bottom side of the gas tank support frame? At least its running. Thanks Don

Hard to imagine a gas tank rubbing the fender on a 100 series Ford. The fenders of my 9000 bolt to the fuel tank but that is a different situation. The spring goes on the underside of the support to hold pressure on the bolt, not for the tank to ride on.

Yes, like showcrop said, the spring is supposed to go under the support, and not between the tank and support. That'll gain you a ton of clearance.
