Hope someone can help, have a 6600, the tag under the hood and on the engine and trans all match, the serial number is OX122830, Engine number OXE122561, Unit number 2H13B, these numbers do not show up in the workshop manual for the tractor. What year is this tractor? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Unit# 2H13B would be August 13, day shift, in either 1972 or 1982... but 6600's weren't built either of those years. They were built 1976 to 1981.

That serial number is very odd, and Fordfarmer is correct, if it's really a 6600, the date code can't start with a 2. Do you have any pics to share?

Sticker says 6600 for the model, and all the numbers, on the tag under the hood and on the components I checked matched.

I will take a few today and try to post them this evening, Thanks to everyone for the help, has me scratching my head!

Its an early version of the 5900... from South America... I have just sold one... It was sold originally as a 6600, at least in Texas after the 6610s were out. It was a low cost version using the older dies and molds when the SA plant started up. You will see an SA on the side of the block iirc...Its an 82 version. And not documented very well that I can find. Later on they changed the decals to 5900 to more correctly reflect that is was equivalent to a 5600 series. You can run either hydraulic pump on it, the 5900 with out the filter or the 6600 with the filter iirc. Overall, not a bad tractor, but did not have the improvements of the 10 series but still a good ole tractor. South America did not have noise emissions requirements and other rules that the Europeans had.

I cant find the serial number of the one I sold but it was an ox122xxx... Does this tractor have a frontend loader on it?

Some pictures of the tractor and tag, again the tag numbers seem to match the components, Thanks for all the help

I've never seen the model number stamped on the ID tag like that before! Looks like it's in real nice shape for 32 years old.

I knew of and have seen 5900's, but didn't know anything about a South American 6600.
