I piddled around with the tractors today and decided to put the disc behind the 850. I got the tractor for $800 because the PO said it had a blow by. I have yet to see this so after getting some OP yesterday I wanted to work it for a while and let it show me what it was gonna do. The disc was on the N so i pulled it down to a nice flat spot in the drive, dropped it and pulled the 850 in behind. Got er all hooked up and the lift doesnt get it off the ground It didnt seem like it wouldnt pick it up, just that it wouldnt go quite high enough to get it off the ground. Well, im discn anyways. I pulled up the drive nice and slow and into the field. Lets try 2nd. Just guessing but we will say 16-1800 rpm. WOW. Ease back on the throttle and go to 3rd. I know im looking at twice the hp but WOW. What would have had the 8n a huffin and a puffin, and that 850 didnt know it was even pullin anything. I think i may like this tractor.
If the temp gauge was working right we got up to around 190* getting about 35psi OP on 10w-30 at work.
I almost forgot the best part. No blow by. None at all that i could see. Let the rings soak with a little trans fluid for a few days, maybe that done it. Smokes a little from the exaust but not bad, and i think that might be partly from a rich mix. No smoke at all once we got goin good, at least not enough that i could see it. Carb needs cleaned out and maybe a little adjustn
