Tried to find the little short fuel line that goes from the filter to the injection pump on my 4 cylinder 4000 diesel. NH parts website said the old 6 digit part # had been superseded by a new 8 digit one.

I gave my parts guy the new #. Not stocked! I called the area mega dealer. Not stocked!

Finally, the light bulb came on!!!! I called my parts guy and gave him the old 6 digit # . . . yep you guessed it! On the shelf!

Stupid computerized websites anyway!

Yea but the real question is did they charge you the 6 digit (2008) price or the 8 digit (2014) price.

I don't know what type of ends are on your hose. I
have made several 1/4 hydraulic hoses for various
makes of tractors to replace that hose.

Is yours a Roosa Master?
If so, I made that line for mine using brass air line fittings and 3/8" hose. I replaced the Roosa filter with a CAV single filter just because the filter elements are easier to get. The line coming out of the filter is a different thread, but Napa had a thread adapter to make the air line fitting work.

My local dealer wouldn't have either number in stock. I'm used to them saying "yep, we can order that". I'm to the point now where whenever I need numerous items for a job I'm working on, I just automatically figure 2-5 working days. Anything quicker will cost me mega freight charges.
