ford 3400, need help with 3 pt lift

Using bushog the 3 pt lift lifts good, lowers good as long as I am not moving it holds position good. While mowing it is constantly jerking up and down. It acts like its in draft contol even while in position control. Fluid is cleanish(not milky but slight straw colored. It seems over filled with fluid (when removing side plug from rearend fluid pours out. 3 pt was in raised position) tried the search but didnt find anything helpful.
 
strawish color and overfilled is likely water.

to check to see if it is operating in draft mode. just unhook the top link and let it run 2pt and see if the lift still hunts.
 
Thanks for the quick reply. My first thought was moisture but the fluid isnt milky at all. Going to drain and refill this weekend regardless. Will try disconnecting the top link and see what that does as well. Will report back over the weekend.
 
I was able to run the tractor a little today before the rain set. With top link disconected it did not hunt it stayed in position. So now what will cause the selector to stay in draft?
 
My bush hog is not mounted solid from top link to bush hog frame, so it shouldnt be getting enough force tocause draft control to work. It has a chain from top link to back of bush hog. With top link disconected it stays like it should in position control. With top link connected tractor not moving it stays put. Once start out accross field it costantly jerking up and down no matter if in draft or possition control. Today I pulled the lift control off, dont see anything broke or disconected. Need input from somebody to head me in the right direction, im not sure what to look for.
