Ford 600 Carburetor

I am working on a Ford 600 that has a M/S TSX62
carburetor that has been damaged. The distance
between the mounting studs is 2&11/16 inches. Is
this a good carburetor for this tractor? The TSX 580
stated as the correct model will not fit. The stud
spacing is too narrow. I can"t find a TSX^@ on this
site. Anyone know where to find a rebuilt one?

look at your manifold.. see if it is a new replacement that is slotted.. or the old 01 manifold for the wide stud carbs.

I'm away from home where my chart with carb stud spacing is located but it sounds like you need either a TSX662 or TSX769. These were the 2 carbs used on the '58 through early '60 801/901 series. Or use a rat tail file to slightly elongate the holes in your manifold inwards so that the TSX580 will fit.

Old type for wide stud 2&11/16 inch spacing. Not slotted. Existing car is a TSX 62. Any idea for a replacement?

I agree. a 662 will fit a 901 ( 172 ci ) .. etc.

I think a 692 will fit a 134ci engine.

The carb. TSX62, is listed in my spec's sheet as made for Massy Harris, and some Fergusons.
Are you SURE the engine in use, is a Ford 600, With a 134CI engine???? If it is....then, JMHO....someone has swapped the Manny with one that will fit the OEM 600, off of a MH, or Ferggie.

OR....they could have swapped throttle body for somthing other than OEM carb for Ford 600 134 engine.?????
MOST carbs with a 2 11/16 manny bolt spread, on Ford mannies....AFAIK....were used on 172 CI engines!!!!????

Only carbs I have found,...(worked on) for the 134CI engine on 600's were either TSX428 or TSX 580!!
NEVER saw a TSX 62 on a FORD engine???????????????

Got a feeling you have a swapped Manny, or carb, from a Massie or Ferggie!!!!!!!
