Hi Gang,
I love this forum!
I really want my wife to be able to hook up
implements with the quick-hitch so...
I"ve got a "67 Ford 3000, built in England. It
has a factory remote built in, and I"d never tried
to use it until last week. I bought a hydraulic
top link and hooked it up. I can get it to give
pressure through the "lift" hose, and when i push
it the other way, it allows the cylinder to
release tension, but won"t push it the other way.
When I have it in the "drop" detent, I can feel
the hose pulsing a little differently, but it
doesn"t pressure up at all.
The remote carries the number C5NNB929K. It has
detents in the load and drop directions. It has a
screw labeled "float".
I have pulled out the "float" screw and it has an
o-ring back in there, but I have never looked
inside one of these to know if there is something
missing.
Any thoughts? Am I missing an o-ring or
anything? Should it give power to "drop" Why
would it have 2 hoses if not?). Is there
something external that needs to be done to make
it a true 2-way remote?
Thanks for any help you can give!!
