Hi I"ve got a ford pre force 4000 and the serial number is abit odd can anyone help me if there"s letters/numbers missing
5L26C
M95
316112

5L26C would be a production code of November 26 of some year that ended in a 5, during the afternoon shift.

M95 looks like an older style date code, November or December 9, also of some year ending in a 5.

316112 looks like a serial number, but it's missing the leading letter. If it's a "C" serial number, then it would be a 1971 serial number, which doesn't agree with either of the date codes above. The "A" and "B" serial numbers are not well documented, so it could be an "A" or "B" serial number and be a 1975 tractor, I suppose, but it's too high to be a 1965 serial number. A "Pre Force" tractor should be 1965-1968 though, so that 316112 might not be a serial number at all.

Post some pictures of the tractor, and post any other stamped numbers that you might find on the flat rail on the engine block
on the right side just above the oil pan.
