Ford 841 oil filter

I just put a screw on conversion kit on my Ford 841, however
the threads that an oil filter screws on are much wider than the
opening on a motorcraft 1A filter. My 860 that I recently picked
up has a screw-on conversion kit as well, however I can use
the motorcraft 1A filter on it. Is there another part number for
an oil filter with a wider opening on it that the conversion kits
use? Thanks in advance for any help!

Where did you get the new conversion kit, and what part number was it? If it's not a CNH part number, then you need to contact whoever you got it from and ask them what oil filter you should use with it.

I can not remember where I got it unfortunately (bought it online a year ago). The part number is CPN6882A on the bag. I will call some folks that carry that part number and ask. Thanks!

That does appear to be a CNH part number, and our hosts here on Yesterdays Tractors sell that kit:

CPN6882A on Yesterdays Tractors

It says that it takes spin on filter part number E7NN6714AA, which should cross reference to a Motorcraft FL-1A or a Fram PH8A. If those filters don't fit then maybe they sent you the wrong kit?
