tractor choking out

I finally got a chance to plow up some weed patches with my 600 ford working well plenty of power then when she was working a little hard she wanted to choke out press in the clutch stops choking opened fuel tank cap make sure not vaccume lock still wants to choke what should I be checking

What do you mean by choking? You don't mean that the choke knob is coming out on it's own do you?

choke refers to blocking air flow in order to greatly enrich the fuel mix by applying lots of manifold vaume to the main circuit.

try this.

when she starts to die. actually TUG on choke a lil and see if it keeps her running. IF it does.. then she is LEANING out and starving.

(quoted from post at 18:32:11 08/19/14) What I mean when I say choking I mean spiting and sputering almost killing the engine

That sounds more like lack of fuel. When the engine gets more load the governor automatically opens the throttle more, and it sounds like the gas flow is inadequate for the additional draw. You can test for an obstruction by removing the plug from the bottom of the carb and catching the fuel safely. You need good flow for at least twenty seconds.

I'm having the same problem with my 641. I noticed bubbles in the sediment bowl when this sputtering is happening. Mine is also backfiring when throttling down.

I'm trying to determine why there is bubbles in the bowl. When the sputtering is happening, do you see bubbles in your sediment bowl too?

Air in the bowl is the same as air in the line. It has to be getting in somewhere, indicating a poor connection in your line somewhere, or out of gas.

I thought so too, but checked all lines last night.
No fuel leaking anywhere and I just added 5 gals of
gas, too.

If air is getting into the system, wouldn't fuel
leak out, too?
