I'm trying to remove the dash in my '65 Ford 3000 and I'm down to the last knob. But it looks like the knob can't be removed so I looked at he other end. Its a funny setup that holds the cable wire in. How can I remove this so the I can pull the cable out.....and not destroy it so I can re-hook the wire? It looks like its crimped on. Thanks.

There should be a tiny screw in the fitting that the cable slides through clamping it in place. The head would face the engine block. If you can't get that loose, the fitting itself is attached to the shutoff lever on the pump via a small E-clip below the lever.
