Ford 5000 high crop parts

Anyone know where I can get front axle parts for a Ford 5000 high crop? Asking for someone else so I'm sure I am missing details I will need? Thanks

I can't think of any additional info needed. Your friend has little choice but to canvas salvage yards. He would perhaps have higher likelihood of success in rice country around Arkansas. Wanted adds in publications like Antique Power and N-news are possibilities too.

I was not aware that there was such a tractor as a 5000 high crop. There was a row crop 5000, commonly called the 5200, but I can find no documentation referring to a "high crop" or "high clearance" version like there is for the pre-1965 row crops. The pre-65 parts diagrams even have separate part numbers for the high clearance axle parts vs. the non-high clearance row crops, but there is nothing in the parts diagrams for the 5000/5200 for any high clearance or high crop specific parts.

There was a 5000 high crop, but they are very uncommon. I've seen two, and one piece of literature on them. As best I can tell, they were simply a utility 5000 with either 15.5x38 or 16.9x38 rear tires and the knees and spindles of a rowcrop. All other steering/front axle parts should be standard 5000 utility parts.
Does your friend's 5000 have a flat deck operator's platform, like the first picture? If yes, it's a rowcrop (5200), which is likely.

That's interesting to know. Do you know what the model designator was for the 5000 high crop (Like 510 or E10 was for the general purpose ag chassis, and 520 or E20 was for the row crop)?

Check the "dismantled machines" section at tractorhouse.com

They have 105 ea. 5000's listed in salvage. Some with photos.
