OK, worked a few hours on her today. got the hood loose assembled back on the chassie.

fenders and grill and egg crate are done, but still inside the shop.. ran out of daylight, plus i want to repalce the bolts on the fenders. the old ones had to be busted off.

rims were painted last week. i wanted to get them back on as i don't like her on all jack stands and cribbing as long as the horses and cws are inthe pasture. all i need is for one to knock that heavy thing off.

i put an old set of rims on the front for painting purposes. rears are the correct ones and installed now.

i was torn on the air breather tube. mine is 3 pieces, piece from box to clamp on hood, a few inch riser, ad then another riser with mushroom cap.

I decided the lower piece coud be chassis color and the top 2 above the tin could be grey.

steering wheel is not done, still filling in a couple spots with bondo, but it is installed with acorn nut on finger tight .

got battery installed, most of the

seat not done yet, nor have i installed small parts like shifter handle, etc.

wireing back on, and the alternator....
completely ran out of light... had to take pic in the dark.

Looks like she is going to be shiny. Those wide fronts make me think of a cat with huge boxing gloves on its front paws. Does your air cleaner have the original element intact?

Really nice! I like what you did with the air breather tube. I also like that wide front! Nearly all of the 900s you see around here are the narrow front.

Mostly, the bottom tray has had help with brazing by a PO, though inner oil cup intact .

Those tires on front are big, one side is a 6.5-16sl, the other 6-16sl, sl tires are talker some reason. I have a stack of old or mismatched fronts in the barn I use as emergency spares or when painting, in addition to being big, I have them dished wide so I could paint. I did the hubs while she was on jack stands so they would be dry for the rims, shot the lugnits when painting as I don't care what the trash front rims look like. Depending on work sched, maybee this weekend she will get more work, I need to touch up rear rims where I scuffed them installing them, chains and bar marks, etc

Ford used a 1 piece pedistal on early rc, and NF was the option, aftermarket wide front available thru people like Schwartz, some time late in 00 production ford came out with 2 piece pedestal with single or dual NF, and factory wf, all 01 should be like that I think. Someone like Texas or show too may know the exact changeover but it escapes me right now
