Can I be so lucky that this will swap?

Selling my 861 because I just picked up a 2600. Rather than breaking out the wrenches to check, I thought I would ask. Will this accessory valve on the 861 top cover bolt on and work on the 2600 top cover? Somehow I doubt it.

UD...I figured you would know.

Yaaaaa! Hydraulic top link here I come!

Now if I can get that blasted clutch unstuck without a split, I'll be good. Did drag a AP plow around, but still stuck. Will try again ...then will have to bite the dust and do a split. :(

Local high school ag department brought their Kubota to me a few years ago with a stuck clutch. I tried every trick in the book to unstick it but nothing worked. As a last resort before I split it I took the starter out and using a big piece of brass rod and a hammer I started taping the backside of the flywheel. I had the clutch pedal wired down and I would hit a pretty good lick and then roll it around and tap it some more. After about 20 minutes of this it broke loose. I don't know if this will work on your tractor but it might be worth a try before you split it

That doesn't look too bad! I have a dirt floor, which might present a challenge. Thinking a couple of 3/4" sheets of plywood might save me some trouble on reassembly.

Thanks for the picture...it's encouraging!

(quoted from post at 17:41:08 08/17/14) This is pretty much the whole job in a photo.
Diesels are a little easier than a gasser but neither one is difficult.

agree
When i had to split my gas 5000 to replace a 50 cent freeze plug, it was actually faster/easier than my usual older little Fords splits.
Just paid a little extra attention to the squish failsafes because of the weight, and good to go.

I had to replace that very same plug, I think, on my 841. Managed to do it without splitting the tractor (ground off the over-sized lip on the bottom, and it slipped right in).

Think my clutch is going bad...I foresee a split in my near future...

From Many threads about splits I can see that most prefer to roll the rear. Do yourself a big favor and support it with HoboNC's jack arrangement. You take the left side round cover off the rear housing and bolt an implement jack to it using a fabricated bracket. It will roll easily and will be impossible to tip or drop it.
