select-o-matic transmission

Could be...
But what year/model tractor is this? There were different versions of the Select-O-SPEED transmission, and that may affect what may be the problem. I'd guess a failed torque limiting disk or input shaft before a failed pump.

Could be, but not likely.

Does PTO operate properly?

If no PTO, torque limiting clutch or (more likely) input shaft splines has/have failed.

(quoted from post at 09:38:19 08/17/14) transmission quit pulling ,NO PRESSURE READINGS AT TEST PORTS possible pump problem?

Have you got the transmission shifted to the ratios that would pressurize the test ports?

Like Dean asks, Does your PTO still spin?

Did your traction disconnect become disengaged? (this is not your problem if you read the pressures @ 0 in the proper ratios)

'64 what?????

checked supply pipe 'ok checked pressures with trans in proper ratios as per repair manual' checked disconnect'engaged properly'no pto 'tried every thing in troubleshooting section 'looking for common failures not covered in manuals

Hard to interpret your post but it appears that you have stated "no pto".

If this is true , the torque limiting clutch or, more likely, the transmission input shaft splines has/have failed.

Dean

John Smith of Smiths old Ford tractors can fix your input shaft if that turns out to be the problem.
