9600 weight

Tractor data shows the operating weight of this tractor at 11380 and ballasted at 18000 pounds. It does not say how the tractor is equipped for those figures. Without just taking the critter to the scale, does anyone know what the shipping weight of a late one with the heavy framed cab and no dual power might be? TIA

Nebraska test #1027 lists it unballasted at 11,610#.
The one tested had Dual Power. A cab-equipped model
is pictured.
My 1976 Ford sales literature lists a base weight of
10,085#. A ROPS equipped model is pictured.
The one I owned (DP, cab, no ROPS, 3 suitcase
weights, fluid in rears) was about 14,000, IIRC.
Best info I can come up with...

Should have added that the rears (20.8x38) were only about 50% filled. Also had the inside rear wheel weights. Something like 500# each? Seems like every 9600 has them, unless it's been stripped down for pulling.

Fordfarmer. I thought you may get a kick out of this. A week ago I was at a pull with my 9000, which I don't weight higher than 11,000 although I do pull heavier classes light. The track was very soft, very poor traction, so I pulled in 11,000 in 7th gear and the old girl did it. I won easily. The next class was 16,000 and while the other entries went to load up, I asked the sled operator if he was going to engage the pan drop to stop the tractors at the higher weight. He said no, those guys are going to come back at 16,000 lbs. they will pull in 5th 0r 4th and won't go as far as they did at 11,000. So I pulled again in 7th, went further than in 11,000 and beat those big JDs by even more.

I just pulled my farm stock 9600 with no cab.. With the 3 point arms on 12,137 without 11,988. Just enough to squeeze into the 12,000 lbs class.
That's with full tank of fuel. 18.4-38 with 2/3 fliud. No wheel weights.
