3000 lift adjustment

I"ve seen mention of a alternate method of adjusting the lift given in the I&T FO-20 manual for the hundred series tractors without special tools.
Will it work on a 3000 to or is it a different setup?

The 3000 has a different setup so you would need to follow the procedures specific to it in the FO-31 manual. For one thing it has an adjustable flow control valve that the earlier 4 cylinder models did not have, plus there was actually a change partway through the production run on the 3 cylinder thousand series such that one of the adjustment measurements changed from 0.200 to 0.030 on September 16, 1969, so you need to know the production code of the tractor to get it right as well.
