2000 vs 4000 pre 1965

Is a 2000 and a 4000 pre 1965 the same tractor other than tire size and size of motor. Thanks

Rear axle is different as well. 4000 has a larger, heavier duty rear axle than the 2000. Both series had multiple configurations as well, so any particular 2000 could be a lot different than any random 4000, or any other random 2000 for that matter. There were 3 different transmissions/PTO combinations available, a 4 speed with trans driven PTO, a 5 speed with live PTO and the 10 speed Select-O-Speed with Independent PTO, plus gas vs. diesel engine, power steering or not, etc.

ditto what sean said. except that i believe rowcrops will have the same rear end.
