I am a noob to tractor ownership, and my first tractor is a recently purchased 1966 Ford 4000. Overall it is in great shape, but it does have a persistent hydraulic leak around the lower tube (the IT Shop Manual term for it) that is located at the bottom of the flow control valve on the right side. I suspect it is a worn out "o'ring problem, but am wondering how difficult a fix is it? Does it require splitting the tractor, or can you simply remove the two valve plates that the tube fits between? I tried to post a picture of the leak, but the Forum says my account is too new to post. Thanks in advance for the advice.
