Ford 9600 Hydraulics Question

Ford 9600 tractor. Is it possible to plumb a loader directly into the hyd pump leaving the remote outlets free to operate?

To the best of my knowledge, I am not aware of any kind of a power beyond plate for those tractors, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say "no, you can't".

Having said that, there is a fitting you can purchase that allows you to test the pump and relief valve directly. You could conceivably buy that fitting, and run it to the inlet port of your loader valve (with power beyond), however you'd have to figure out a way to re-route the "beyond" oil back to the remote stack. My guess is that a properly located, drilled, and tapped hole in the top cover plate for the remote stack might get that done. Having never done this myself, this is as far as I can speculate without getting my hands on one.

In summary, yes, I think it is possible, with some engineering work.

I disagree with the test port idea. Tapping in there will merely provide oil flow two pathways to sump, with no pressure to either unless both are blocked. I think the cover plate is the only real option here. This will require some modification/machine work at best, and probably a total replacement with a custom unit. It would require at least two ports and fittings, one pressure out and one power beyond back in. The sump return can be located wherever it's convenient, also a custom job of some sort.

My idea with the test fitting would indeed work, since the test fitting was designed by FORD to test the hydraulic pump and relief valve directly, bypassing the remotes.

The fitting in question renders the remotes useless, which is why a person would have to modify the top cover to redirect the flow back into the remote stack. I'm convinced it would work, it's just a matter of some time and drilling.
