'63 Ford 2000 loader hydraulic seals

I have a 1963 Ford 2000 with loader.

If I wanted to rebuild the hydraulics, what size seals would I need for the two loader and one bucket cylinders?

Also, what"s the best way to get the filler cap off the rear differential? It"s stuck on there and I"m afraid of damaging it.

Thanks.

Folks put a few different models of loaders on those 2000 tractors, so just saying it's a 2000 with a loader doesn't tell us much. Is it a Ford loader? Does it still have the metal tag with the model ID number on it? If you want to rebuild the cylinders yourself, take them apart and take them to a local hydraulic shop and they should be able to supply you with the proper replacement parts. If you don't want to do it yourself you can have them rebuild them for you, but it will be a little more expensive.

For the rear axle fill plug, if you have a 1/2" inch socket set with the proper size socket and breaker bar and that's not breaking it loose, then I would put a couple foot long piece of steel pipe on the handle of the breaker bar for extra leverage.

do not use an adjustable wrench, use a pipe wrench if the plug is rounded and damaged. tap on it with a hammer.. should come off.

otherwise, you can use a chissle to spin it around too.

try other methods liek the pipe and breaker bar / correct socked first, if able, as the latter 2 methods can add some damage to the plug.

lastly. you can weld a big hex nut to it.

rarely does it come to that however.
