My 2000 was converted to 12 Volts by a previous owner. How do I determine if it is now supposed to be positive or negatively ground? Thanks in advance!

If it's a diesel, then it had a 12 volt system to begin with.

If it's got a gasoline engine then it was 6 volt positive ground from the factory.

If it was converted using an alternator to replace the generator, then it should most likely be negative ground, as most 12 volt alternators are negative ground.

If the conversion was done using a 12 volt generator with an external voltage regulator then you can run it with either positive or negative ground, just polarize the generator after you have everything hooked up.
