Hood Emblem Housing Nose Cone

Jubilee on CL. "Restored". Nose cone appears to be pointing down. Thought owner may have installed upside down but after looking at my 2000 and 631 that is unlikely. Checked Dennis Carpenter and he lists cones for '53 to '57 and cones for '58 to '62. Are they interchangeable?

if you notice the line of the NC to the hood, and the back fittment. it appears the nose cone is misaligned and indeed tipped forward

Looks like the NC has a major dent just left of the work Golden in the picture. Would suggest that it has caught a tree or fence post at some point.

IT is not right and end result is it looks like crap. Why in the world would somebody do that then put a fairly good paint job on it is beyond me.
