anyone know if this truck has a 'normal' brake switch on the back of the brake pedal like a pickup.

truck is out on a job and super called in with loss of brake lamps. I've been helping troubleshoot over the phone. or at least get something so the truck can get back to the shop. if it has a brake switch back there we can test that.

PS. with air brakes.. i also wonder if there is maybee a switch at the firewall manifold.. or even at the chambers in the back?

thanks

Not sure if it is the same but had a problem that was in the turn signal switch not at the pedal. Had to change the turn signal switch to fix it.

Chris, it should be on the brake valve under the hood, if I recall correctly it is 11/2 to 2" in diameter and has 2 or three wires running to it. HTH

Got it, found 2 air over electric swutches on the brake valve under the hood, one was gunned up and stuck engaged, rebuilt with a screwdriver and can if wd40 and sand paper. :)

at least it was a ford!
