8000 Filter Upgrade Template

Stopped in at the dealership this morning & found the relavant service bulletin (thanks for dating it guys). I did not find the template among the older special tools hanging on the tool rack. There's a bunch of stuff that's been hanging there a LOOONG time, but no joy for that particular item.

Same result I had about a week ago. I looked through a lot of drawers at my local dealership, but came up blank. I know they had it at one time, because I used it once, but that was 25 plus years ago. I suspect it was thrown out when it was determined that we would not be doing any more of those filter mods.

Just used ours last month I even bet I could drop it in the mail in a flat rate box for you. As long as you send it back cause you know the last one we did before that was 1983.

thanks for the offer ford doc. the template that eddie petty was looking for is for the same tractor im working on. I was able to get the filter tubes and filter head from wengers (very reasonably priced). I ended up cutting a circular hole, the size of filter, in a piece of cardboard. then I went out to a 8600 and slid the cardboard over an existing filter and marked it. this gave me the location of the manifold. then I made a gasket the shape of the filter head and guessed at the exact location. I have all of the parts dry fitted now.

Yep sent him an email but ricks had his not available. When it comes to most any special tool upto the 10 series we have. Ag and industrial, even built our own limp home harness for 40 series after local dealer wouldn't let me borrow but ohm it.
