I have an 850 that I need to replace the points on. Should I also replace the condenser? I have already done the cap, rotor and wires. Thanks

condensors are generally not a wear item, unless you see signs it is bad, i"d leave it.

signs it is bad are bloating or leaking. bulging. damage to it"s pigtail. plown out insulator int he end with the pigtail. and points that constantly arc and burn even when gapped and cleaned correctly

Been years since I have ever replaced a condenser due to the fact many of the new ones are bad from the get go

I addtion to what's been said-if one point is pitted and the other peaked-get another condenser.Otherwise leave it in there.
