The rear turf tires on our 3600 gasser seem to be leaking from around the valve stems and it seems like rust coming out of there. My question is, how would I know if these tires are loaded with calcium, or if not, can we just take the back wheels off?

Rust and flaking around the valve stems is a shure nuff indicator that you have calcium in your tires. And they're leaking.
But you could also set the valve stem at 6:00 position and push the valve stem in.
You'll get either air or fluid and then you'll know.

like UD says, and.........
have valve stem inserts on hand before you try.
Loaded, rusty......when you touch the stem, it will leak afterwards.

With the right weather conditions with it parked in the shed,
you can see how full they are, from the 'sweat' on em

Thanks for all the replies. There is no moisture, this rust is dry, so do I understand this right that maybe the tires are not loaded?

As UD said, you can check them for liquid.
You can also see the sweat on the tires when cold as NNP said.
One other thing I've noticed - when they're not all the way full,
i.e. when they have a leak, if you stop the tractor short with the
brakes or just rock it by hand, the fluid will slosh back and forth
and keep the tractor rocking back and forth on its own.
That won't tell you if both tires are loaded or only one though.
