3600 ford wont shift into any gear now...

We were backing the tractor up. Stopped put it in 3rd(8spd btw) went forward maybe a foot if that. Stopped and went to put it in reverse and it wouldn't go. No it won't even go forward. Help!! What did I do?!?
 
Shifter probably popped out of the rails. Try to shift it back into 1st then slowly try to pull if back out and try reverse. My 841 will do that once in a while and that is how I deal with it
 
When we try to put it in a gear it won't go.. were not sure what happend.. we can start the tractor with clutch pressed down.. we try to disengage the clutch and the tractor goes to dying..
 
Ok so it is stuck in 2 gears. You need to pull the shifter out and then by hand move the shifter rails back into neutral then install the shifter
 
ps. do this sooner than later. every time you let the clutch out and start killing the engine.. you are closer to stripping teeth off a trans gear or two.
might want to bar the engine over in reverse an 1/8" or so.. while someone uses levers to slip the shifters back into place.
 
Another thing that can help is jack up one rear tire so as to let pressure off the whole transmission system so maybe the rails will go in place a bit easier
