Real life, wifes health probs and work sched has pushed this poor row crop to the back burner.

got about 4 hours on her today, de-wired her, made up a new wire harness, got some lights and switch i salvaged off another units old tin.

steering wheel is a lil rough.. buffed on it. needs a few places filled.

started sanding the hood.

someone used paint stripper on part of the hood , left side, at one point. in fact. I thinkt he left side of the hood is from a different set of tin. it is straighter thant he right side, and has different paint on it.

Still forgot to refill the steering box, last time i worked on it I went thru the front pedistal.. and ran out of time to relube the worm box after adjusting thrust play.

Got the hyd diverter valve on it moving. it was locked up tight when i got it, had it soaking and just tapped on the spool today and it moved. a lil more tapping and then some tugging and it is now moving free.

Got the brakes adjusted and front hubs /bearings repacked.

just got to get that steering box lubed and then continue with the body work.

i probably need another good 10 hours of body prep before she would be ready for primer. Wonder how many weekends that 10 hours is gonna take. :)

Having the same problem on my end. Life gets in the way of tractor obligations. Plus, I can't seem to work as long as I could when 40 y/o.

How about some pictures? And, did you get the storm damage repaired to the shop/barn?

that month the storms hit !daily!

By the time i got out there to 'fix' it, it turned into a 'tear it down' job.

I saved all the roof tin, and some of the wood. simply too much wind.. and once a couple supports went it twisted, and it's own weight took it down.

in fact. it has rained twice today! and I just sanded some tin bare. go figure! :)

I might have to sectionally paint this thing just to keep it from rusting as I work on it.

No more room in the barn to hand parts to shoot.. so all painting will be outside again like it was a couple years ago... thus at mercy of weather.. add in 2 job work scheds.. and it gets tough!

Got a diesel leak fixed at the fuel valve. worked on a ps leak.. will check that one to see if the resevior is still full...

Slow progress has been a problem with my 1986 ford 1910 as well. I purchased it in December after it sat in a field for two years and got water down the exhaust. While cleaning parts for reassembly I found that it had been overheated at some point that scored two pistons and cracked the head. I got the new sleeves, pistons and rod bearings installed in March. About a month ago I finally got the reconditioned head and assembled the engine. The two stage clutch needed adjustment but luckily the 1910 has an access hole on the left side to make the adjustment. I ran it for about a month and installed the loader last weekend. I'll now run it as is for a while to see if it needs any other repairs. I would like to get it painted before winter but the way the summer is going it may not happen.
