I need help. Have a Ford 841 Power Master. The 3 point will not come down even with motor shut off. Was plowing when it pulled the plow up. Now it will not go down. Thanks for any help. My first Ford.

eed to determine whether it is a hard-locked mechanical problem that is holding it up or hydraulic. Can the arms be lifted any further up? Have you left substantial weight (several hundred pounds) on the arms overnight to see if they will drop any amount? If you do not have auxiliary hydraulics, you have the accessory plate under the front edge of seat, which has a plug in the top of it. If you remove that plug (oil bath risk) and it drops then it is a hydraulic instead of mechanical lock up. This should get you started in finding the cause.

As JMOR says oil bath risk. Before removing plug block under one arm so that it can drop only 1/2 inch.

Sounds like a stuck control valve spool. Remove the PTO shifter cover and look-see if the spool moves along with the quadrant handle. If not, pry it rearward with the quadrant in the lower position.
