I purchased a new zenith carb..was wondering if there was
any tips on installing it I should be aware of...

Just one installation tip- don't. There have been many posts on this forum about the quality of the Zenith compared to the original MS and the MS wins hands down. It's a different story when comparing the Zenith to the Holley on the 1965 and later tractors.

if you already own it and are stuck with it, just make sure you use a new gasket and check immediately to see if it's float valve leaks badly..

As with any carb, you'll want clean surfaces and a new gasket.
Tighten the nuts on each side incrementally and equally.
Do not over tighten them.
Check it right away to make sure there are no leaks, etc.
I prefer the MS too. Any reason your old one can't be rebuilt?
