Ford 3600 motor swap

I have a ford 3600 with an aubrn trencher on the back. the motor started knocking on me today. the motor is a D5NN6015F. I also have a ford backhoe that we have been parting out with a good motor. the backhoe motor is 07NN6015AH. will the backhoe motor work in the trencher?
Any help is greatly aprecieated. Thank You, Travis

the 3 cyl engines from the 3 or 4 series 000 and x600 ( and more++ ) machines should all swap just fine.

The casting numbers don't mean much to me.. but generally a late 60's three cylinder will bolt in place of a late 70's 3 cylinder. THAT BEING SAID.... you should be aware that little ancillary things may not work out. A block prior to 1972 will not support a tachometer drive in the engine. You may also find differences with the exhaust and little things that may catch you when mounting the alternator. Nothing that can't be overcome with a bit of thought... I'm just saying it may not be a drop in swap. Flywheels may also need to be swapped...

I don't know those engine casting numbers either.
Any idea of what year the TLB was?
1976 was a change over year.
Intake manifolds are different from 65-75 to a 3600 but use the one from the good engine.
Exhaust manifolds will swap.
Small things like tach drive may be different - as Rod says after 1972. Different electrical values on temp and fuel gauges but oil and amp lights are the same. Do you really need a tach?
The engines are a direct swap otherwise.
Flywheel ALWAYS stays with the tranny on a Ford.
It should be an easy changeover.
