Ford Tractor Blue

Looking to paint some gokart parts and want to use Ford Blue. I"ll probably just use a rattle can(s). Does anyone know of a good quality paint in these cans? I would like to have a good looking project. I will be painting a fiberglass hood, so it is a rather large piece for a rattle can. I have painted some IH red with rattle cans and worked good, but can"t remember the name.
Thanks in advance!

Be aware, there is more than one Ford blue. There is the old blue, and the new blue. I want to say the new blue came around the year 2000, and has more purple in it. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

New Holland paint is still made by Valspar. The two blues are described on the can as "Ford Blue" and "New Holland Blue". As others say, New Holland blue has more purple.

I just bought 2 cans at the dealer on Saturday for touching up bolts, etc.
I balked at buying a can with a white top but he assured me it was the correct old Ford Blue.
I tested it and it is the correct color but I haven't used any yet so can't speak for it's shine or durability.

I see they are branding it like the other family paints. like IH paint.. etc.

I also see that the iron guard claims arcrylic ( modified ).. vs the straight alkyd.

should be a higher quality paint if true.

Hi
I got a county conversion built on a ford 5000 tractor. about 8 years ago I painted 2 drive line parts when I re built them, with genuine ford blue(63-00). it sits out all the time Hot or cold weather and in direct sun, they got oil on them from use.
if i wipe them clean they look as good as the day I painted them. the auction site tool box I got at the same time, was blasted primed and painted blue by seller, looks like cheap paint. That looks 20 years old and not much paint on.
I would go with the genuine dealer paint from that experience.
Large flat parts can be a pain did a truck door here last year. Looks better than the mess when I got it but nothing like a pro would sign his name to.
Regards Robert

Hey Dog,
How will you prep the surfaces you will use this on?
