Correct Injection Pump

Have a 4000 with 172 c.i. 4 cylinder diesel
Engine code is CONN6015J.

Going to need some injection pump work. I have decoded the numbers but want to make sure it has the correct pump for this engine before I get it fixed.

Roosa Master DBGV CC429 6AJ.
Is this the correct pump?

Thanks,
Sam

The listing shows the 144 engine used 1, 2, 6, 7, and 13AJ pumps. Shows the 172 using 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, and 14AJ pumps. Main change is full load fuel setting.

Thanks for the info.

According to this info, this tractor has the wrong pump in it.

Decodes like this:
D=series
B - .920" rotor
G = mechanical governor
V= vertical
CC = counterclockwise
4 = 4 outlets
29 = .290" plunger diameter
6AJ = accessory code

Is it a hardware issue or the way it is adjusted ?
For instance, could a 6AJ be the same as an 8AJ but with the fuel setting different internally? I have seen reference to a 7AJ for example that has a solenoid for fuel shutoff.

Well don't I feel like a dummy! Went and looked at it again more closely. It is an 8AJ, not 6AJ. Makes me happy.
Sorry to waste your time,

Thanks,

Sam
