641 recently acquired. 3 Pt does not move at all. I am new to Hydralics. Where do I start ? Any and all help appreciated.

check hyd dipstick for oil. if has oil, remove plug on the top front of the pump and crank engine over and see if oil bubbles up there, if so, put plug in and start her up and see if lift works.. if not. could be a few thingsd.

blown out seals under valve body, open relief or backpressure valve.. or stuck unloader valve.

Have oil in resivoir, oil pumps out of priming port with engine spinning, Still no action of 3-pt. Thanks. will pull valve body. will post results.

Removed valve body, nasty crud inside. Where is a good reliable location to get parts? I will order the parts breakdown manual tomorrow. I hope Yesterdays tractor co. has a breakdown of hydralic parts available. Any more input regarding this experience is greatly appreciated.

I just got one that did not work at all. Mostly water, milky oil mess. Sitting two yrs outside.
I drained middle hydraulic resivior, put back in almost a gallon UTF ford spec 134d fluid, gallon of kerosene, pint alcohol , & quart of ATF. Ran it for about 30 min, working lift lever and after 25 min it broke free and worked. I let set overnight, ran a little more and drained & let drip for hours. Remove bleeder plug from pump, refill resivior with 2 gal UTF , replace bleed plug , start & test.
Good luck. Mine was about as bad as it gets and it fixed mine. Works perfect.

Thanks for the info. I did pull the Hyd valve assy apart and found that the seal rings on the piston had shrunk lower than the piston diameter. Have parts on order, Hopefully next week it will be working again.
