6610 SCV kicking out

I have the loader plumbed through one of the SCV's on my 6610.

It will occasionally kick the lever back, but it kept kicking out this afternoon after lifting big bales for a couple of hours with the loader. I had to hold the lever while raising the loader.

Is there an adjustment for this?

Thanks

Yes... look at the top rear of the remote and you'll see a set screw with a jamb nut. Loosen the jamb and turn the screw in mabey half a turn and lock it. That adjust the detent pressure. Just bear in mind that if you turn it in beyond where the system pressure can kick it out... you better make sure that those lines can't be dead headed or you WILL BURN the pump, quite quickly. I have one wound in for feeding an open center circuit like that... but it's not safe to let anyone else use the damn thing because they don't pay attention to the fact that it no longer kicks out...

Rod's method will work, just as long as you don't go too far. I think 1/2 turn is way too much. Turn the adjusting screw clockwise in small increments until your problem goes away. Make sure the handle pops back to nuetral though with no tips installed, or you will end up with one or more burned up pumps.

Myself, I use a bungie cord to tie the handle back. I anchor the other end of the bungie onto the male tip for the loader valve. That way, if the loader comes off, so does the bungie cord.

I should mabey clarify... if you want the remote to NOT kick... a 1/2 turn on the detent will accomplish that. If you still want it to kick at system pressure... then yes, much less may well work.
I took to understand that he doesn't want it to kick out, period. I've done the bungee cord/baler twine thing for years... I'd much rather, at this point... just tighten the detent.
