Anyone have a Napa part # fro a temp gauge for the early 1000 series Fords.172 engine.

It's nothing special- just a standard off-the-shelf mechanical water temperature gauge. The capillary tube will be way too long so you just roll it up under the dash.

Bought a universal gauge at TSC,the sensor that goes into the block was to large.

Do you know that you don't use any bushings on the Ford? You insert the sensing bulb into the head and tighten the nut that the capillary tube passes through.
