hydraulic seal blowing out

My Ford 7000 has started blowing a hydraulic oring seal where the banjo bolt connects the remote connector onto the cover (hydraulic control box) under the seat. I never had a problem until the last couple of weeks and now it has happened 3 times while using a pull behind swather.

My guess is it is building too much pressure when I lift or lower the swather. What is the most likely problem?

As asked in your previous post, are you using the correct O ring?

Seal #18 should be a square cut o-ring, meaning it has flat sides. Go to your local NH dealer and order the correct seal. This should solve your problem.

Thanks for your replies. After looking at the description of the seal on New Holland's website, I believe you are correct about having the wrong seal installed. I have ordered the correct seals from New Holland and will give it a try.
