These little pieces of sheet metal fit on the right front corner of the engine.
I assume they direct the air flow from the fan somehow.
I think all of the 3 cyl engines have them - both gas and diesel.
I have two types here. I think the curved one is an early one, the flat one is later. Not positive on that though.
What was the purpose of these and why and when did they change them?
Not a big deal. Just one of those little differences you notice/wonder about when messing with these old Fords.
