Update on my black 7700

Hey all,

Well, the hydraulic pump musta been bad. I finally got the new one installed and it picks up the cultivator. Only JUST. I can lift the front of the tractor off the ground by hand without much trouble. I've got 8 75 lb weights on the front, but have 10 100 lb weights with bracket for an 8000/9000 series tractor to replace them. I also installed some tube type stabilizers to keep the hitch off the tires. If that doesn't keep the front on the ground, should I put wheel weights on the front? At some point I'm gonna have to admit this cultivator is too much for this tractor.

How much are the 75 lb front weights worth?

The thermostat didn't fix the overheating problem, so I have a new water pump coming.

On a slightly worrying note, I found a ground up bearing ball holder in the bottom of the transmission. I only found one bearing, though. There was a bunch of PTO work done a couple years before I bought it, so I am HOPING the last mechanic was sloppy and left them in there from that. It doesn't seem to have any transmission issues.

I'm not too happy with the fella that sold this to me. He had to have known all these little things were wrong...
