860 3-point

Hello all, helping a neighbor with his little ford and ran into a problem. Background is the gasket from tranny to hydraulic cover was leaking so he replaced it and after that the three point don't lift. We took the top off again and rechecked the linkage with no change. Off with it again thinking a piece of oring or gasket was blocking a port or something but found nothing. All valves move freely. All that we can come up with is the piston that lifts the arms seems to be stuck in its bore? I believe it should slide out fairly easy when held up but it don't budge. When the lift lever is raised you can feel a slight pulsing in the lift arms but they don't move any.
They worked fine before replacing the gasket. Tested the pressure and had about 1400 psi at slow idle.

Any ideas?
Thanks Mitch

Probably loss of prime.

Prime the pump via the test port (allen head plug).

piston stuck in bore"? Probably not, but to satisfy yourself, just use a rubber tip blow gun to apply pressure to the hole that is toward front of tractor (left in picture), and between the ram cyl overpressure safety valve and the very small hole (above hole in question in picture). From bottom of picture going up, bolt hole, over press safety, hole for air. This is direct path to ram via only one o-ring between cover & ram cylinder. Should move ram. Ignore yellow circle as that was for another question, another poster.
