861 Power Steering

Greetings All,
Had the 861 torn apart replacing some seals and lines for the
power steering........left for a three week tour.....made some notes on where the pressure line and return go into the box
respectively.....and put them on the desk.......Mrs. D did a fine but unrequested cleaning of my desk while I was gone.
"What notes on the tractor" was her reply.......guys I think I have the pressure line in the right spot ......take a look at the picture......can anyone confirm or deny proper placement......
I am trying to save myself a trip to the Dealer and searching the microfilm ......

If my memory serves---the hose in your picture is connected to the pressure side and the return hose is missing. Will double check tomorrow when it's light out.

You have it right. The right is the pressure line, the left is the return.

Pressure line is the hose, the return is the solid tube

Lines going to pump. Solid tube is the return. The hose is the pressure side.

Ed, I'm moving a PS unit from an 841-D to my 861. Thought I would do the seals while it is off. Did you go to CNH for your seal kit, or did you find another source for viable kits?

I did get mine at a Ford/New Holland dealer my friend......he
had them in stock.....and UltraDog reminded me that there are
two, and posted a diagram......gonna see if I can find it later
today and post it again.
