Ford/New Holland - when did they quit using Ford badges

We have an original (450 hrs) New Holland/Ford 3430 Farm Tractor (Ford in small letters on front side) that we bought New in 1995. I recently came across an ad for a 1995 Ford 4610 Tractor, but it has the Ford Decals and doesn't say New Holland. It also has the Ford Oval Badge on the front. I haven't confirmed his is a 1995 as he says, but I also Googled "1995 Ford 3430 tractor" like ours, and the pictures come up with the Ford decals and badges.

I know New Holland already owned the company, but when did they switch their badging and decals?? I really hate that ours says New Holland instead of Ford, but it bothers me to also not leave something original. Just curious!

Fiat is the one that bought the Ford tractor division. Ford had purchased New Holland a few years earlier so after the Fiat deal Fiat owned both tractor lines. I remember reading from someone who seemed to know the details, that part of the deal allowed Fiat to continue to use the Ford name through some time in 1995, at which time all "Ford" branded tractors became New Holland models.

I've noticed that, as I have been shopping the industrial models, window shopping and some of those have FORD on the loader arms, but the New Holland logo on the grill. Like '96 models and up.

They probably had until the end of '95 by the contract agreement but probably started changing over before then to guarantee that new tractors arriving at the dealerships no longer had the Ford brand on them before the end of the year.

Yeah, probably so. That sucks that we missed it by that much. I guess it wouldn't be totally incorrect to re-badge it Ford though......unless you'd look at it from a collectable standpoint, which I don't think exists for these tractors. haha. Too bad it still looks like new or I would want to rebadge it in a heartbeat! At least it still says "FORD" in small white letters on the lower side.

Look what I Found.........

With this information, I'm thinking that ours must be a 1996 Model Tractor even though we bought it in the Fall of 1995

The blue oval was gone in 95 or 96 and they could use the Ford name in block letters until 2000. In 96 tractors were coming in with Ford in large letters and New Holland in small letters under the Ford name. In 97 tractors came in with New Holland in large letters and Ford in small letters under New Holland. In 98 the Ford name was gone.

The Blue Oval was used until 1995 when Ford divested the last 20% of Ford NewHolland to Fiat. Contractual agreement allowed the use of 'Ford' block lettering for 10 years from the original purchase agreement date of 1992.... so the block lettering ended in the early 2000's. 1995 also marked the end of the 'blue' chassis paint. Chassis were then painted Fiat gray.
Ford 3 cylinder 10 series production ended in the fall of 1989 when the 30 series was rolled out... so you definitely do not have a 1995 Ford 10 series tractor.
