8n steering arms on ford 3000?

was at my local farm and feed and got to looking and wondered if the steering arms from the 8n would work on a 3000, everything adjusts, i geus the threads would be differnt coming off the steering box, mine are bent and these seemed like they would work.

Only the end of the sector shaft where the nut threads on is threaded. The arm and the part of the shaft that the arm engages are splined, so you would need to make sure that the splines are the same, not the threads, which I doubt that they are the same between a 3000 and an 8N, but others on here might know better than me.

im sorry i ment the splins, he said it would work, but i dont think so ive been lookin at differnt websites, some say it will, others say it wont maybe someone will chime in

the lil short sector arm?

I'm thinking that from an 8n to a 3000 would fit. i don't know if they are the same length.. but i think they do fit. as a matter of fact.. i picked up one at a swap meet to do just that on my 3000 as it was loose.. however ended up getting some junk 3000 parts and fixed it that way. not sure if I tried it on or not. but i think them sector shaft splines on them small fords are the same.
