lubrication for manual steering box on ford 800

You can sometimes find 0 and 00# greases at snapper dealers or other mower and gold course maint places. some CNH dealers sell a pourable grease lube like that too.
 
The CNH pourable high EP lube is just about perfect. You can easily pump it in on a hot summer day using a marine lower unit pump.

I usually pull the steering wheel and pump it in until it just begins to seep through the upper column bearing so that by the time I get the pump out and the plug back in it has leaked out enough that it will not push out beneath the steering wheel when it gets hot with usage in the summer.

I followed souNdguy's lead and went with 00 grease from Tractor Supply online. 4.99 a quart, plus shipping, about 10 bucks total to my door.

Google "00 grease tractor supply" and you should find it. I can't post the link up for some reason.
